Checkers is a classic two-player strategy game played on an 8×8 board. Move diagonally across the dark squares, jump over opposing pieces to capture them and reach the opposite side of the board to crown your pieces as kings.
How to play Checkers
- 1. Choose VS Computer or 2 Players.
- 2. Red moves first.
- 3. Regular pieces move diagonally forward on dark squares.
- 4. Jump over an opposing piece into an empty square to capture it.
- 5. If a capture is available, you must take it.
- 6. Reach the opposite end of the board to become a king.
Checkers vs computer
In VS Computer mode you control Red and move first. Choose Easy for a casual game, Medium for a stronger opponent or Hard for a deeper computer search.
2 player Checkers
Choose 2 Players to play locally on one device. Red and Black alternate turns using the same board, making it easy to play a quick head-to-head match without creating an account.
Kings and multiple jumps
A piece that reaches the opposite king row is crowned. Kings can move diagonally in both directions. When a capture leads to another available capture with the same piece, the jump sequence continues.
